Full Professor of Procedural Law at the University of the Basque Country (EHU). He obtained his PhD at Jaume I University of Castellon. He holds a degree in Law from the University of Navarre.
Areas of particular interest to him are: Fundamental procedural rights, conflict resolution in the face of globalisation, data protection in the jurisdictional field and the challenges of artificial intelligence in our field.
He is a permanent collaborator of the Basque Institute of Criminology (KREI), he holds the Chair of Human Rights and Public Power at the UPV/EHU, and he is a member of the Advisory Council of the Basque Data Protection Agency (DBEB). He directs the Associated Centre of UNED (Distance Learning University of Spain) in Bergara.
