Daniel Gamper is Professor of Moral and Political Philosophy at the Universitat Autonoma of Barcelona. He has worked as a visiting professor at the universities of Aarhus (Denmark) and Suor Orsola Benincasa in Naples. His research interests include the tradition of tolerance, the concept of freedom of conscience, the role of religious beliefs in democracy, as well as freedom of expression and secularised and religious forms of fraternity. He is the author of Laicidad europea (European Secularism), Apuntes de filosofía política postsecular (Bellaterra) and Las mejores palabras:De la libre expresión (Anagrama Essay Award 2019). He has translated works by Scheler, Habermas, Tugendhat, Croce and Nietzsche, among others. He publishes regularly in Diari Ara.
